Betsy Russell MS, JD, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist – LMFT 115983

Therapy Objectives

My objective is to listen, be present, connect, provide feedback and reflect on what may help your life become more rewarding, less stressed, anxious or stuck, more empowered, or even reinvented! Every person is unique and together we will explore your strengths and the best options that will enhance your well-being. I am non-judgmental and create a friendly environment that provides an opportunity for us to talk about your difficulties and expectations. While doing so, I will be sure to assess that my way of working is appropriate for you and that you feel comfortable working with me.

I have been trained in different psychotherapeutic modalities. Given that, I work through an integrative lens. This means that I don’t necessarily use one particular approach or theory. What I will do is explore your issues, concerns and feelings and work with an approach that helps you get the most out of your time with me.

Family Therapist | Treatment for Anxiety | Treatment for Depression | Coping Skills

I have always been passionate about learning and understanding people as well as helping others. I strive to provide a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance. I enjoy working with people of all ages individually. Most importantly, I am here to help you learn how to achieve your goals.

In my clinical practice I work with children 6 to 12 years old in office only. Sessions are conducted in person for teenagers and adults at my Central Marin location or on Zoom for California residents.

I am currently not working with couples.
